just so that you are aware for the next month or two you might not see me online a whole lot as there is alot going on in my life..

the main thing is my dad. 
It started with a chest xray and the dr's found something suspisious on his lung. so then he went for tests and never heard back.. under my urging dad made an appointment to go see his dr and then his dr sent him to the specialists for tests.  the specialist said he was treating dad as though he has cancer but wants to do tests.
at the specialists my dad had to undergo a bronial something where they sliced a hole in his throat and went in with a scope to look at his lungs. and take a biopsy.  before he went under my dad had to do a stress test for his heart and we found out that  he's going to need stints put in because he's got a weak heart from a heartattack he had  20+  years ago.
So dad got his results back from the first biopsy and the dr said that his lymph nodes and blood work all looks good his white blood cell count is normal and the dr thinks that all my dad has is a fungal infection on his lungs.  We all thought we had good news and went around telling people he's going to be ok.   The dr though wanted to be sure and to double check that this was indeed an infection so asked that dad come back for a second biopsy even though he told my dad that it was probably the infection.  Well  Friday we got the results.. My dad has lung cancer.. and he goes for surgery in a month and they'll be removing half his left lung..There's been no word on dad's heart surgery so we don't know if they're going to do the lung surgery before he has the heart surgery(even though the heart dr said he needs the heart surgery first) or what's going to happen. 

Needless to say it's been very stressful and I haven't been my normal self and with everything that's happening with my dad I probably wont' be around as much or in any of the rooms because at random times I just break down and cry as I'm not taking this very well.. And am very mad at the man upstairs..  If you could pray for my Dad I would appreciate it so much

Stints don't usually  require surgery
they insert them through a catheter into the artery
It sounds as though its early ... and the cancer hasn't spread
that in itself is good news !

It WILL be alright !

my Dad had a stent inserted back in April....it is not a major procedure...he was in and out the same day

as for the lung cancer, since he is having surgery for it, it does sound as if it is early stage and i truly pray that it is and that it has not spread

update:

so the dr's office called they wanted to do Dad's surgery on Aug 17th but mom said no because we have family in from out of town for my grandma's 85th birthday (nothing like having everything going on at once) so the nurse said she understood and it's possibly looking like his surgery will be around sept 7th.

Aug 3rd he's going for tests and to see the cardiologist hope all goes well with that!

so to add more to all the drama in my life.. on top of my dad being sick I've been evicted from my home because...

the landlord gave a notice of increased rent..(wanted to do it in 2.5 months) i called the rentalsboard to find out my rights and he has to give 6 months legally and the rentalsboard said to also write him a letter saying of all the things that need fixed along with a deadline which i did.
and he came back that he was evicting me because my rents always late and that he's ending tenancy for reasons related to the landlords use of property(renos/repairs, converting the place to condo's etc)

so now you really won't be seeing me because I'm packing my place up and trying to find someplace to store it cause it looks like my only option is living with my sister and her 3 kids and her 3 cats. dog and rabbit.. i myself have 2 cats and 2 fish.. I'm so screwed!
